2009-09-05 Lower Nazareth Wildcats Open the 2009 Season
Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009 - The Lower Nazareth Wildcats opened their season at home by welcoming the Bethlehem Bulldogs. All of the teams and cheering squads performed admirably today.
Our flags and 80lb teams came up short against the Bulldogs while both the 95 and 105 lb. teams played to a tie.
On a bright, sunny Saturday the flags team started the season at 8:00 AM with a hard fought battle. The Wildcat 80's lost a back and forth game by the score of 7-0. The flags and 80's cheerleaders ensured that the crowd remained enthusiastic. Great job girls!
The Wildcat 95's scrambled back to tie the game in the 4th quarter with a rare two-point conversion. Be sure to check our videos section for the two-point kick. The 95's cheerleaders showed off their hard work with spirited performances throughout the contest.
In the finale the Wildcat 105's battled in 3 overtimes before the game was ruled a draw with a score of 20-20. The 105's cheerleaders put-together a fine half-time routine. Be sure to visit our videos section to view that performance. WOW!
